Telling a Compelling Story
It's important to tell people about why you're fundraising for Rose Road. Part of that is telling them what we do and the positive impact we have for disabled young people and their families.
The following are some helpful key messages and quotes to help get you started! You can find more stories on our News page here.
- Rose Road is a charity providing overnight short breaks, flexible outreach support, at-home care, on-site and community based day services, and telephone SEN advice services, for children and young people with complex disabilities, and their families, in Southampton and surrounding areas.
- Rose Road offers activities and experiences that give disabled young people the very best opportunities to play, learn, make friends and achieve their aspirations, no matter how complex or individual their need.
- I'm fundraising to help keep the doors to the Bradbury Centre open to ensure Rose Road can continue to be a safe, welcoming, specially-adapted space for all those who need them, when they need them.
- I'm fundraising to keep these vital services running, to help disabled young people discover, feel positive, build resilience and thrive.
- One family said: "Rose Road’s support has massively changed our lives as it took away all the stress. It’s nice knowing our daughter can go somewhere where she’s with peers like herself. It’s lovely to see how much she clearly feels happy, safe and comfortable there, and I fully trust Rose Road to care for her. I don't have enough words, it's been a game changer".
