Volunteer with Rose Road
There are plenty of ways you can volunteer and get involved with Rose Road. From lively community festivals to relaxed garden parties, our annual calendar of events wouldn't be possible to run without our incredible volunteers and their gift of time and enthusiasm.
Join the Volunteer Hub
We’re growing our volunteer team through our Volunteer Hub – it’s the go-to place for discovering new volunteering opportunities, hearing inspiring stories from current volunteers, and finding out how to get more involved.
Whether you're chatting with visitors, helping to run a stall, coordinating activities, or lending specialist skills behind the scenes, volunteer support helps us reach more people and make a greater impact for disabled children and young people.
Sign up to the Hub here!Once you sign up, you’ll be opted-in to receive our bespoke Volunteer Newsletter by email. Each issue is packed with:
- Upcoming events and opportunities to get involved
- Highlights from our Staff fundraisers
- Behind-the-scenes stories from our volunteers
- A Volunteer Spotlight, celebrating an amazing person who showed up and made our events the best they could be.
Importantly, being a part of the Hub doesn’t commit you to regularly volunteering – you just stay in the loop about opportunities you can pick and choose from.
Our volunteers are so important to us, and having the Hub helps ensures everyone feels valued, informed, and part of the Rose Road community.

What does “volunteering” mean to Rose Road?
To us, volunteering is all about connection. It's about the new friendships built, the special moments shared, and the sense of belonging that comes from working towards a common purpose. When you volunteer with Rose Road you become part of a community that's rooted in care, respect, and inclusion.
Many of our volunteers tell us how rewarding it feels to support our young people through these events and we try our best to connect our volunteers to Rose Road’s commitment to safely enabling disabled children and young people to live fuller lives.

What has been your favourite event to volunteer at so far, and why?
“My favourite event this year was the Shirley Fringe. We spent time with our service users exploring the shops and having lunch together.
