Seb, his wife Carrie and her twin sister Jo joined fundraising forces as a family to raise an amazing combined total of £8,187! From Jo holding a bake sale, to the whole family getting together with their children to cycle over 100km from Marchwood, Southampton to the other side of the Isle of Wight (and back again!), they really did go the extra mile.
Seb says, "When I entered the ballot back in April; after being inspired from watching the event and also seeing colleagues taking part, I thought I would never get in and the application money would go to a good cause….fast forward 6 months and here we are. Luckily I am not doing this one alone and have the wonderful support of my wife Carrie, and her sister Jo, to run this together.
Carrie works for a local doctors surgery as a nurse. Part of her role is working with learning disability patients and their families, and we see firsthand the excellent work that Rose Road does. We are both delighted to be running for Rose Road".
The fabulous John geared up to run for us in 2025 to celebrate 10 years since previously running for us, during which time he has also run the Southampton ABP Marathon and Great South Run for Rose Road.
He and his colleagues at TJ Waste, who as a company do all sorts to support Rose Road, were incredibly generous and supported him to raise a fantastic £2,843.

Representing Rose Road and taking on a huge personal challenge, Lyzel says "I'm running for all our young people and I'm grateful for the courage they give me to be able to do this."
Through family and staff donations, Lyzel raised an incredible £700.
Beth applied for one of our charity bond places, explaining on her fundraising page, "I am running my first ever Marathon for Rose Road! All the feels....nervous, scared, but mostly excited!
After having my two children, over the past few years, I wanted to give myself a challenge and do something for me whilst also helping others....so here goes!!"
After the event, Beth said "Having the support of the other runners via the Whats App groud that the Fundraising Team set up for us made me feel a lot less alone when going through my training, it made a big difference!"
A huge thanks to Beth and everyone who supporter her to raise an oustanding £1,806.
