Walk the Test Way is great fun for all ages (even the dog!) with a choice to walk from 5 to 25 miles along the River Test through beautiful Hampshire countryside.

How to Register for Walk The Test Way

Step 1: Set up your Rose Road Fundraising Page - Set up an Enthuse fundraising page here by clicking 'Start Fundraising' under Get Involved. We have an agreement with the Rotary that allows you to fundraise directly with us and they will ask for your page link when you register, so you need this set up first.

Step 2: Register your place - Sign up online here to register with with the Rotary. Click on the Rose Road logo.
- NOTE 1: When registering, under "How are you going to raise sponsorship for RCRTTF" please select "Participating in a corporate or specific charity fundraising scheme", and then select Rose Road.
- NOTE 2: At the bottom of the registration page, select to "join Rose Road's team".
Accessible Park Challenge
We are excited to be hosting a free accessible walking challenge for our young people and families through Romsey Memorial Park, alongside the main Walk the Test Way event!
Challenge yourself to walk at least 1 mile round the park, cross the main finish line with everyone else and get your own medal too!

You can choose to walk from 5 to 25 miles as follows:

Walkers are taken by private coach from Romsey to their starting location and will end the walk in Romsey's Memorial Park where there'll be a warm finish-line welcome!
Depending on the distance you're walking, the buses will leave Crossfield Hall at the following times. Please turn up 30 munites before to register with us:
St Mary Bourne (25 miles) - Bus 7.00 am
Wherwell (16 miles) - Bus 9.00 am
Stockbridge (11 miles) - Bus 10.30 am
Horsebridge (8 miles) - Bus: 11.30 am
Mottisfont (5 miles) - Bus 12.15 pm
Finish times will depend on the distance you walk, but everyone should be back by latest 5pm.
A medal will be available for everyone who takes part.
Yes absolutely, and we encourage this. Anyone who wishes to join Walk the Test Way will need to register through the Rotary and sign in on the day at Crossfield Hall at the relevant time to catch their bus. Due to the aniticpated finishing times, we recommend they only sign up to the 5 mile or 8 mile walk.
The rest of the party taking part in the accessible park challenge will need to make their way to Romsey Memorial Park to start their walk approximately an hour before the other(s) is/are due to finish the Test Way Walk.
For those doing the 25 mile walk you can park at Crossfield Hall, otherwise there are a small number of public car parks which are free to park on Sundays, and are a short walk from Crossfield Hall, namely:
- Alma Road & Waitrose Car Park, SO51 8ED
- Broadwater Road Car Park, SO51 8LB, closest to Crossfield Hall
- Newton Lane Car Park is the closest to the War Memorial Park
There are disabled toilets in the War Memorial Park and at the bus station by Broadwater Car Park
There are no Changing Places Facilities in Romsey. The nearest facility is on the M27 Westbound at the services between Junctions 4 and 3.
Yes, we can send you one beforehand or collect one on the day.
We encourage every one walking the Test Way to try to fundraise at least £100.
There is no minimum fundraising suggestion for the accessible park walk for our young people and families, however if you wish to fundraise for Rose Road we can support you with this.
We willl have a member of staff at Crossfield Hall to wish you luck before your walk and once you have registered with the Rotary Club, and we'll be in the Memorial Park with our pink marquee to welcome you once you've crossed the finish line!
Yes – changing facilities are limited, please come swim ready if possible.
Before the walk starts, local Scout groups make bacon and sausage baps (vegetarian options available) for a small fee. You can stop on the walk at pubs if you wish but you just have to make sure you are back in the Memorial Park by 5pm latest.
