Her mum, Amy, says:
"Lola has Autism, global developmental delay and a sleep association disorder, and has complex needs as a result of this. She is non-verbal and struggles so much when not in her routine with school. Her needs would dominate our days and I’d get no rest.
Being able to access the holiday club during half terms and school holidays enables Lola to be herself safely in a 1:1 ratio. She has so many members of staff that care about and know Lola, which is just amazing. Lola gets to do a variety of activities that stimulate her and she always has the best time.
When I show her the school PEC card to indicate where we are going, she’ll hunt down the Rose Road card and give that to me instead!
While Lola’s off having fun, our family is able to enjoy time away from our responsibilities with Lola and do things together, which is something we’d literally not had since Lola was born.
During the recent Easter holidays, for example, I was able to enjoy a day out shopping with my older two daughters – something that would have been impossible with Lola, who wouldn’t be able to tolerate the noise and crowds of WestQuay.
Thank you to everyone that cares for Lola, she loves Rose Road so much. We hope that Lola can carry on using Rose Road for many, many years"
