Summer Fetes & Festivals
Mela Festival – Saturday 12th July
Celebrating Modern and traditional Asian culture, Mela Festival is a fun filled day for all to enjoy music, dance and family activities. Come along and take part in different crafts and activities at our stall, or volunteer and help us run the activities for families.
Swanmore Village Fete - Saturday 12th July
A vibrant community fete with entertainment for all the family, classic cars, games and plenty of delicious food and drink! You will help us to run the Rose Road stall, offering children’s activities and chatting to local families.
Romsey Ladies Choir Summer Concert - Sunday 13th July
The lovely ladies from Romsey Ladies Choir are performing their summer concert in aid of Rose Road. Come along for an evening of beautiful singing, or volunteer to help us with collecting donations for Rose Road.
Belinda’s Open Garden – Saturday 26th July
Come along to this lovely community event in Sholing, enjoy a walk around Belinda’s beautiful garden, and to join us for a tea or coffee and a slice of cake. There’s plenty of fresh produce and homemade jams on offer, as well as the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win some great prizes! If you would like to volunteer, you will be helping to serve hot drinks and cake, or helping to sell produce and raffle tickets.
New Forest and Hampshire County Show - 29th – 31st July
With livestock competitions, equestrian events, fun forest activities, local food and drink stalls, craft vendors, educational exhibits, and entertaining performances, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to connect with nature, learn something new, and enjoy a fun-filled day out with something for all the family. As a volunteer you will be help us to run the Rose Road stall, offering children’s crafts and activities in return for donations.
Wickham Festival – 1st – 3rd August
Wickham Festival is a music & arts festival with live music on four stages, plus a whole host of other entertainment. Wickham is rated by many as one of the safest, most relaxed and family-friendly festivals in the UK. Volunteers will be selling our flower themed headbands and festival accessories to spread the summer festival cheer with supporters!
Victorious Festival – 22nd – 24th August
We will be returning to Victorious festival for 2025, with live music over 8 stages from some of the world’s biggest artists, as well as over 100 food stalls and activities for all the family. Volunteers will be spreading festival cheer, talking to people about Rose Road, and selling our flower headbands and festival accessories.
Shirley Fringe Festival - 1st-7th September
Shirley Fringe endeavour to bring unity and joy to Shirley through the performing arts, including music, comedy, dance and circus. They set a stage for local talent to showcase their skills, whilst raising money for charity to directly benefit projects within the local community. Rose Road is the chosen charity for this year meaning Rose Road will receive all profits from the festival! View their website to find out more.
