Meet the Fundraising Team

Chloe Atkins - Head of Fundraising (currently on maternity leave)

I manage Rose Road’s Fundraising team, I’m lucky enough to be supported by a great team of staff and community volunteers. Please do make contact if you’re interested in hearing more about the work we do at the Rose Road Association and how you can support us.

Before coming to Rose Road I worked for a national children’s charity, and previous to that I provided fundraising advice and support to local authorities in the UK and Ghana. I’m a full Member of the Institute of Fundraising (MInstF). I have a degree in Environmental Science but my passion is for supporting organisations that improve children and young people’s lives.

My free time is spent with my family anywhere outdoors.

Angela Carey – Fundraising Manager - Trusts and Foundations

My role involves raising funds through Charitable Trusts and Foundations which primarily fund projects such as emergency bed nights and Outreach.

I have 3 children, two of whom still live at home. I have a passion for theatre, particularly musical theatre and regularly visit theatres all over the country with my two daughters who share my theatrical love.

Beth Rogers – Fundraising Manager - Community and Corporate

I have recently re-joined the Rose Road Association as Fundraising Manager. I am super excited to be back and to have the opportunity to get to know all of our wonderful families, friends and supporters. My role at the Association means I get to work with our local community, volunteers and corporate partners in order to raise awareness of the Association and vital funds. I’m a full Member of the Institute of Fundraising (MInstF).

I have previously worked as an Engagement Manager at a charity run outdoor centre, working with international volunteers on long term placements , developing community programmes and events and ensuring the smooth delivery of residential programmes. Prior to that I held fundraising positions at two local children’s charities. I am passionate about working in the third sector and love any causes that have children and young people at their heart.

Outside of work I love to travel and see new places and take any opportunity to be outdoors!

Nicola Burton - Fundraising & Events Assistant

I joined Rose Road at the beginning of January 2020 and am very excited to get involved with all the amazing work done here. My new role will include helping to organise and manage events to raise important funds for the children, young people, and families that use our services. I will also get to play a role in social media and build some great new relationships working alongside the local community.

I am new to charity, coming from a background of private event planning including conference and corporate events, banqueting and weddings. I have previously worked for a range of venues, catering companies and hotels. Before getting into events I worked with children and am greatly looking forward to combining those two passions and experiences to bring to my role at Rose Road.

Where I can, I like to fill my free time with some travel and doing anything crafty. I love to bake so I am sure there will be some good recipe swaps around the office soon!.
