The Oaks and The Acorns

The Oaks and The Acorns is a residential respite facility registered with Ofsted and CQC, offering short-breaks and support for children and young adults in a safe and homely environment. We aim to make the service as flexible and responsive as possible linked to the needs of the young people. The length of each stay varies and can be for a day, overnight, a weekend or a week-long stay.

The service is available to both children and adults with severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and/or autism. We assess the needs of each young person to ensure we are able to provide the best levels of care and support. Toys, equipment and activities are provided to stimulate play, during the weekends and holiday periods a variety of outings can be organised. We have a range of facilities at the Centre such as our recently refurbished soft play and sensory rooms which offer a mixture of educational opportunities and ways to have fun!

Each of our rooms has specialist equipment to ensure each young person is comfortable and can enjoy their own quiet space should they wish, and we also have twin rooms available if required.
