Rose Road family survey shows great results from a great service!

Every year Rose Road commissions a survey amongst parents and carers using our respite and outreach services and our activity schemes. This helps us to understand our strengths and our weaknesses and assists us with shaping service design for the future.

The Spring 2017 survey results are now back and we can share some key findings with you.

Out of 403 families surveyed, 74 responded (or 19%):

Here is what our families had to say:

  • The majority of respondents have been using Rose Road services for over three years.
  • Acorns had an excellent satisfaction rate with 91.3% very satisfied with the service.
  • Oaks had a good satisfaction rate with 76.4% very satisfied with the service.
  • Children’s Outreach had a satisfaction rate of 80% satisfied or very satisfied with the service.
  • Adults’ Outreach had a satisfaction rating of 100% satisfied or very satisfied with the service.
  • Activity schemes had a very high satisfaction rate of 88.8% very satisfied with the service.
  • The impact of Rose Road seems to be most felt in giving parents time for themselves, time to spend with family members and helping their relative have new experiences.
  • Families had high confidence in the care shown to their relative and staff response to their relative’s needs.

Areas for improvement or development included:

  • More streamlined booking systems.
  • Enhanced communications.
  • Session availability and cost was highlighted as sometimes being an issue for families.
  • Consistency of staffing, or information sharing about staffing changes.
  • Families would like more off-site activities/trips available to service users.

We will take all of the good ideas for improvement and build them into our service improvement plans in order that we can continue to develop high quality provision for all of our service users and their families.
