Brand New Facilities

Things have been changing here at the Bradbury Centre recently! Not only have we added two new bedrooms to our Oaks & Acorns overnight centre, we have also created a whole new sensory room and arts and craft space, as well as an accessible changing room which can be used by both our young people and the wider community.

We welcomed friends of old and new to the Centre for our Grand Opening last month and even held our first Facebook Live Stream for the ribbon cutting, which you can watch here were you not able to attend.

Our children and young people already love the new facilities and the en-suite bedroom is such a great addition for young people who crave independence.

Our sensory room however is by far the talk of the Association, with an interactive floor mat which allows you to walk on water, pop balloons and learn all about the planets (and much more) it’s easy to see why! In fact there are rumours that staff may try out the equipment when not in use at lunch times.

Thank you to all our wonderful donors and the generous local community who made this possible! The additional bedrooms allow us to provide over 700 extra bednights a year to our families that rely on overnight short break services – so it has made a huge difference and will continue to do so for years to come.
