Meet the Fundraising Team
Nikki Radcliffe – Interim Head of Fundraising
After more than twenty years in fundraising from the largest to the smallest charities, I can honestly say that I am addicted to fundraising.
I passionately believe that fundraising should be about telling people the difference their donation makes to our service users, staying in touch, thanking everyone properly and making them feel valued.
Outside of work I love anything outdoors – gardening, walking the dogs, running, walking and to relax at the end of the day, a glass of excellent wine.
Kim Barton-Smith - Senior Community Fundraiser
My role is to raise awareness of the fantastic work Rose Road does, as well as encouraging the local and wider community to fundraise for us. Whether it’s organising your own event, taking on a 'once-in-a-lifetime' challenge or having one of our collection boxes on display, I am on hand to help our supporters raise as much as possible for us.
I have a degree in Events Management and have worked for several charities as a Community and Events Fundraiser over the past few years. I love working in Community Fundraising, I get to meet some really kind hearted people and no two days are the same - one day I will be presenting to a WI group or Rotary Club, the next I will be dressed as a Disney Princess for a supporter’s fundraising event.
Eleanor Deans - Corporate and Events Fundraiser
My role at Rose Road is to develop corporate partnerships and to organise our larger events. If you are interested in partnering with Rose Road, then I would love to hear from you. You can do anything from doing a bake sale in the office to wanting to attend or sponsor one of our larger events.
Whilst at university I fundraised and worked for a variety of charities, including Oxfam, Cancer Research UK and Student Hubs, which included both corporate and events fundraising.
In my free time, I like to cycle, walk in the New Forest, and try my hand at various crafts and recipes.
Angela Carey – Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser
My role involves raising funds through Charitable Trusts and Foundations which primarily fund projects such as emergency bed nights and Outreach.
I have 3 children, two of whom still live at home. I have a passion for theatre, particularly musical theatre and regularly visit theatres all over the country with my two daughters who share my theatrical love.
Andy Lock - Community Fundraising Assistant
Working as part of the Community fundraising team my role involves connecting Rose Road with the community and spreading awareness of the Association.
I am currently training to run the 2017 London Marathon to raise funds for Rose Road.
I recently spent 7 months in Australia in where I enjoyed scuba diving, kayaking, sailing the Whitsunday Islands, skydiving, surfing and barbequing in the sun!
Rachel Simpson - Events Fundraiser
I’ve been working with Rose Road for the past 7 years! I started working in play schemes, then outreach, and now I am an outreach co-ordinator and work one day a week in Fundraising.
I have such a passion for Rose Road and the children and families we work with are absolutely inspirational, I can see just how much the service means to them.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Event Management and Media Studies and I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 5 in Management in Social Care.
In my spare time, I am a car enthusiast, and love attending all of the car shows, I have a particular love of Nissan Skylines! I have two naughty kittens and a bearded dragon at home, they are my children! I even dress them up at Halloween and Christmas – they love it really!
