Land Ahoy!
Geoff and his boat Impossible Dream have successfully arrived in Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands, thus completing his Personal Atlantic voyage.
Geoff's 'Personal Atlantic' challenge saw him sailing a 60ft, purpose-built, wheelchair-accessible catamaran on a voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. The 2,700 mile journey took him four weeks to complete, and he had to overcome a number of unexpected obstacles along the way.
In completing his Challenge, Geoff has become the first quadriplegic to make the journey, unassisted in every aspect of the sailing. As a Patron of the Change My Life Appeal, Geoff has supported Rose Road in many ways over the past few months, and we are delighted he arrived safe and sound!
